It is surprising that some top teams in previous seasons are so low on the rankings this year, with the L.A. Lakers may be saying goodbye to their star player Kobe Bryant, and their 2016 first-round pick may be headed for Philly if it falls outside the top three. We may see an improved New Orleans Pelicans, with the help of their new coach Alvin Gentry to stay in the top 10 spots throughout the season.
A lot of fans are still looking at the Cleveland Cavaliers to be in the finals, even if it is another 250 days away. Thanks to LeBron James, as well as other players like Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and Anderson Varejao; on top of the fact there is no clear number 2 in the East to give them a challenge. This season will certainly have some great basketball games, as past top ranked teams fall and newer and fresher teams take the lead.
