The NBA regular season is almost in the books and we are only months away from arguably the most talented free agent market the league has ever seen. With that being said, all the teams with money to spend this summer like the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and the Miami Heat are planning on reeling in the big fish.
Obviously no other free agent this summer will be more pursued than the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, but there are plenty of other big name players that will also get plenty of attention and could drastically turn around NBA franchises.
Along with Lebron JamesAlong with Lebron James, the other high-priced big-name free agents are Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors and the Phoenix Suns Amare Stoudemire.
These three other NBA free agents, who will be available this summer, are just a handful of the names that will be available, but they will without a doubt be the most sought-after players.
Obviously most people expect these big name players re-sign with their current NBA franchises as their current teams will almost certainly do everything they can to keep their superstars in the same uniform.
Unfortunately, not all these big name players will sign with their current teams and will take the high road for the big money. LeBron James will be the one guy that gets the big money wherever he goes, especially with the New York Knicks, but Wade, Bosh and Stoudemire will also get paid the big bucks.
As of right now the Miami Heat by the one team that could really benefit from this summer as they have the money to sign Dwyane Wade should extension and go after a big name this summer like Amare Stoudemire.
Before the NBA trade deadline on February 18th, the Phoenix Suns are doing all they could do to trade away arguably the best player in Amare Stoudemire, but no other team around the league was offering what the team wanted and the Suns ultimately elected to keep their big men until he becomes a free agent this summer.
The main reason for the Phoenix Suns attempting to trade away Amare Stoudemire was because they didn’t have much faith in him re-signing this summer and if he doesn’t they will get nothing in return for their best player.
Obviously the Suns will have a lot more money if Amare neglects to re-sign this summer, but it will be hard to replace the All-Star forward.
The one destination looks more likely than ever for Amare Stoudemire this summer is with the Miami Heat. The heat are one or two players away from being a legitimate title contender in the Eastern conference once again, but in order to do that they are going to have to keep Wade sign a big name player like Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire.
Chris Bosh will most likely re-sign with the Toronto Raptors as they will be in trouble next season and for the foreseeable future if they can’t, but Stoudemire is get a lot of talk lately about the possibility Stoudemire signing with the Miami Heat.
The combination of Dwyane Wade and Amare Stoudemire could rival that of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol in Los Angeles, but the Heat have to first convince Wade to come back and sign for the long term.
